Stretching Paraffin Sections in Water Bath

 

 

 

Tissue sections (coupes) cut on a microtome should be stretched in hot demineralised water. The water temperature should be about 10 degrees below the melting point of paraffin (approximately 45 and 50 degrees Celsius).
